Julia Brim-Edwards today announced she is running for Multnomah County Chair, saying, “I'm running because the County needs a proven, effective and collegial leader to rebuild trust and get the County on the right track.”

“Multnomah County has big problems, both as a community and especially as a government,” said Brim-Edwards. “As soon as I joined the Commission, I disrupted the status quo, pushed for change and more accountability to drive improvements; reducing unsheltered homelessness, increasing access to housing, ending street encampments, and more effectively managing our funds. At the County, leadership and effective management from the Chair is the best way to drive the significant change our community expects, and that’s why I am running for Chair of Multnomah County.”
